ABOUT AUTO HEAVEN

In 2015, Auto Heaven started with one truck, long hours, and a simple idea: make it easy for Ontarians to get rid of end-of-life vehicles without trashing the environment. Today, that one-truck operation has grown into a multi-location auto recycler with company yards and local divisions across Toronto, Barrie, Hamilton, Mississauga, Oshawa and beyond. Through a combination of our own fleet and vetted local contractors, Auto Heaven now operates one of the most extensive scrap car removal networks in Ontario, serving more cities and towns than most operators in the province. Auto Heaven also runs an official automotive recycling programme, designed to handle end-of-life vehicles in a controlled, compliant, and environmentally responsible way from pickup to final processing.

Auto Heaven is a privately owned, for-profit auto recycling company and is not affiliated with any other similarly named organisations. We are not to be confused with Car Heaven, which operates as a charity, or Auto Haven, which is an automotive dealership. Auto Heaven focuses solely on professional scrap car removal and end-of-life vehicle recycling under Ontario’s environmental regulations.

Our Toronto head office and primary yard are strategically located to reach customers within roughly a 200 km radius, while our additional yards in Barrie, Hamilton, Mississauga and Oshawa streamline logistics and help move end-of-life vehicles quickly and safely. Flatbed tow trucks, car carriers and tilt-and-load equipment allow us to pick up everything from single driveway cars to fleet and insurance volumes with minimal disruption on site.

Auto Heaven operates as a registered End-of-Life Vehicle (ELV) facility under Ontario’s Environmental Activity and Sector Registry (EASR), registration no. R-007-8110799092. Through our official automotive recycling programme, we follow Ontario’s ELV and hazardous waste requirements and align our practices with recognised environmental codes for auto recyclers, including proper depollution before shredding and safe handling of oils, fuels, coolants, batteries and other hazardous materials. We also maintain an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau and participate in circular economy and stewardship initiatives through organisations such as the Circular Innovation Council and the Resource Productivity & Recovery Authority (RPRA).

Across our Ontario network, Auto Heaven now processes well over 35 end-of-life vehicles per day. That works out to approximately:

  • 35+ vehicles per day

  • 240+ vehicles per week

  • 1,000+ vehicles per month

  • 12,000–13,000 vehicles per year across Ontario

Ontario as a whole processes hundreds of thousands of end-of-life vehicles every year, with recycling rates commonly reported in the 90–95% range. Industry data shows that around 80–95% of a typical vehicle’s materials (steel, non-ferrous metals, plastics, glass, rubber) can be recovered and reused when processed properly. In that context, Auto Heaven’s annual volume represents a meaningful share of responsible ELV processing in the province.

By handling thousands of vehicles per year under a controlled, registered process, Auto Heaven helps keep a significant amount of waste out of Ontario landfills and waterways:

  • Used motor oil and fluids
A typical passenger vehicle holds roughly 4–8 litres of engine oil, plus other fluids such as transmission fluid, coolant and fuel. On a conservative estimate, our annual Ontario volume allows us to safely remove and divert over 60,000 litres of used motor oil each year, plus tens of thousands of litres of other automotive fluids that would otherwise pose a contamination risk if dumped or mishandled.

  • Metals and bulk materials
With most of each vehicle being recyclable metal and other recoverable materials, our yearly throughput translates into well over 10,000 tonnes of steel and non-ferrous metals recovered and sent back into the manufacturing stream instead of going to landfill.

  • Tires and other automotive materials
Every end-of-life vehicle typically arrives with four tires plus a range of automotive components that fall under Ontario’s tire and special waste programs. At our current volumes, that is tens of thousands of tires per year being captured and directed into approved recycling and recovery channels, supporting high recovery rates reported for Ontario’s managed tire streams.

In a province where large numbers of vehicles reach end-of-life every year, proper recycling is not optional—it is the difference between controlled recovery and uncontrolled dumping. By combining a large daily processing capacity with strict environmental compliance, an official automotive recycling program and a province-wide service footprint, Auto Heaven gives Ontario drivers, businesses, insurers and municipalities a way to retire vehicles responsibly while getting fair value for their scrap.
