ENVIRONMENTAL GATEKEEPERS
An old junk car poses a real threat to the environment. What threat you might ask? Well, consider that an average vehicle contains the following:
- 4-15 Liters of Engine Oil
- 4-15 Liters of Transmission Oil
- 2 Liters of Power Steering Fluid
- 32 oz of Refrigerant
- 1-2 liters of brake fluid
- 1-5 liters of Oil in the Transfer Case (AWD/4x4 Vehicles)
- 3-5 liters of Oil in the Differential (Multiple by 2 on AWD/4x4 Vehicles)
- 1-3 Liters of Windshield Washer Fluid
- Mercury-containing switches on vehicles manufactured prior to 2003
Consider the above, that vehicles can have 17-50 liters of fluids hazardous to the environment. You would want that seeping onto your driveway and contaminating the land you live on. The cost of decontaminating a property can be in the hundreds of thousands of dollars.
The sooner you get rid of your junk, the better it will be for everyone around. Trust the scrap car removal to the professionals at Auto Heaven. We will ensure that the vehicle is fully depolluted from any contaminants before it's sent off to the recycling mill. We pay for proper disposal of the polutants so you don't have to!
